چکیده
Stellar RV jitter due to surface activity may bias the semi-amplitude and mass of rocky planets. The amplitude be estimated from uncertainty in rotation period, allowing more accurately obtained. We find candidate periods for 17 out 35 TESS Objects Interest (TOI) hosting <3 R_Earth planets as part Magellan-TESS Survey, which is first-ever statistically robust study exoplanet masses radii across photo-evaporation gap. Seven are 3+ sigma detections, two 1.5+ sigma, 8 show plausible variability but remain unconfirmed. other 18 TOIs non-detections. Candidate rotators include host stars confirmed L 168-9 b, HD 21749 system, LTT 1445 A TOI 1062 98-59 system. 13 candidates have no counterpart 1000 catalog Canto Martins et al. (2020). Toshiba English text-to-speech synthesizer (TESS)
Toshiba English Text-to-Speech Synthesizer utilizes several new techniques to produce synthesized speech that is more natural-sounding and intelligible than that created by conventional synthesizers. The closed-loop training method creates synthesis units that most closely resemble the training data and are the least susceptible to prosodic distortion noise by analytically solving an equation t...
متن کاملHydrocarbon toxicity: an analysis of AAPCC TESS data.
INTRODUCTION Human hydrocarbon exposures have the potential to cause significant morbidity and mortality. To determine which hydrocarbons were associated with the most severe adverse outcomes, human exposure data reported to American poison information centers were analyzed. METHODS Outcome data for single-substance, hydrocarbon exposures reported to the American Association of Poison Control...
متن کاملTESS: Automated Support for the Evolution of Persistent Types
Persistent data often has a long lifetime. During its lifetime, the types that are used to structure the data may undergo evolution to support new requirements or provide more efficient services. This evolution often makes the persistent data inaccessible unless it also evolves with the types. Existing systems that support type and data evolution focus on changes isolated to individual types, t...
متن کاملOn the inference of spatial structure from population genetics data using the Tess program
Motivation: In a series of recent papers, Tess, a computer program based on the concept of hidden Markov random field, has been proposed to infer the number and locations of panmictic population units from the genotypes and spatial locations of these individuals. The method seems to be of broad appeal as it is conceptually much simpler than other competing methods and it has been reported by it...
متن کاملTESS: Bayesian inference of lineage diversification rates from (incompletely sampled) molecular phylogenies in R
Summary:Many fundamental questions in evolutionary biology entail estimating rates of lineage diversification (speciation – extinction). We develop a flexible Bayesian framework for specifying an effectively infinite array of diversification models—where rates are constant, vary continuously, or change episodically through time—and implement numerical methods to estimate parameters of these mod...
